The conference is organised by Institute of Archaeology of Adam Mickiewicz University and will take place in Poznań, the major cultural and economic centre of Western Poland. Poznań has its own airport – Ławica (www.airport-poznan.com.pl) but arriving by train or bus from Warsaw (Poland) or Berlin (Germany) may be also convenient.

Collegium Historicum Novum

The venue of the conference is a newly build Collegium Historicum Novum situated on still expanding university campus – Morasko. New building houses under one roof all institutes of Faculty of History: Institute of Archeology, Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology, Institute of History, Institute of Eastern Studies, Musicology. On the venue there is also a library, a book store and a cafeteria. Free wi-fi is available on the premise supported by eduroam (www.eduroam.org). By public transport

Campus Morasko is located in the north part of Poznań, 7 kilometres from the city centre. Travelling by PST trams (Poznan Fast Trams) is the quickest and it will take aproximietly 15 to 20 minutes.

Trams and buses terminates at Os. Sobieskiego stop, which is the closest to the Morasko campus. Collegium Historicum Novum is in a walking distance from Os. Sobieskiego (5-10 minutes).

To avoid the walk, from Os. Sobieskiego you can take the bus 98 which goes directly to The Collegium Historicum Novum (UAM Wydział Historyczny stop). It will take about 5 minutes.

From Poznan Main Railway and Bus Station
If you get to Poznan by bus or by train you can go to the conference from one of three stops: Dworzec Główny, Most Dworcowy or Dworzec Zachodni. There are buses and trams there that goes in the direction of os. Sobieskiego.

From Ławica Airport:

There is no direct bus line to Os. Sobieskiego. Bus 59 goes from the airport to Poznan Main Station (Dworzec Główny) where it is possible to change for tram (12) or bus (51).


By car

Campus Morasko provides its visitors with dozens of parking spaces. Parking is free of charge.
